Reviews

So far, so good

"Bought this for my daughter and she seems to be enjoying it so far. She's always talking about the characters being introduced and what is going on. I am pleased because she hasn't found a book she's been interested in since Percy Jackson and she seems to really like this so far."

Good gift!

"The decorative spraying on the side of the book is gorgeous. It is a gift so not sure about content but looks amazing."

Goosebumps several times throughout this read!

"Fantastic read! Fast paced, with a torrent of action and unique characters. Full of suspense and a powerful, intensifying story line from start to finish. I can't wait to devour the next book in the series."

I mean take a look at that cover just super cool looking dragon dose it hide in a shadow like the title I don’t know but I would want to

"So someone in my family bought all three in the series liking fantasy and getting more in to wanting to read I thought it was nice to see that all I know of the books is they seems to have different mythical creatures on each book. I want to say that the books are about fighting those mythical creatures which I would think is pretty cool to wanna read"

Izabella J. (5/5)

Good

"I like the Norse mythology and the strong female characters."

Josie K. (4/5)

A fierce fantasy worth reading!

"I loved the depth of the world-building, raw emotional stakes, and the steady pace of the plot. John does a great job balancing the epic, fantastical elements with the personal journeys and emotional growth/development of the characters. I especially appreciated the representation of strong, female leads. The lore is rich without being too overwhelming, and the multiple perspectives kept the pace sharp and tensions high. I can't wait to read the next books in the series!"

John Gwynne studied and lectured at Brighton University. He’s played double bass in a rock ’n’ roll band and traveled the USA and Canada. He is married with four children and lives in Eastbourne, where he is part of a Viking reenactment group. When not writing, he can often be found standing in a shield wall with his three sons about him. His dogs think he is their slave.
