Amazing!!!

"this is such a good book, I was captivated by the first chapter! Ms. Ryan always does a great job of describing the inner feelings of a woman, especially a black woman. This book touches the heart providing a safe place for those who are experiencing similar situations. This is a great book about love in all its forms."

In a genre that

"In a genre that is saturated with books focusing on college-aged protagonist, This Could Be Us is a breath of fresh air. Kennedy Ryan does a beautiful job building a layered romance with some great spicy scenes. However, she does an even more fantastic job at bringing to life very real and complex family dynamics both through Judah and Soledad. I also appreciated the development with the romance between the two MCs as it is a slower burn than most current books are."

An unexpected gem

"This book caught my attention unexpectedly. It touches a variety of subjects related to marriage, family dynamics, children, self-growth and love and sensuality."

This book is a must read

"I highly recommend reading Before I Let Go first, before reading this book. This book explores Soledad, as she decides to go on a self partnering journey and focus on herself and her mental health. Any book from Kennedy Ryan is a great book. You will not be disappointed."

Enjoyed this series so far!

"Not as enjoyable as “Before I Let Go”, but still loved! Looking forward to next book in series to be released 2025."

Beautifully Written

"Kennedy Ryan can do no wrong in my eyes!_x000D_ _x000D_ At first, I didn't think ""Before I Let Go"" (book 1 in the series) could be topped but wow! In this book we experience Soledad's bond & love with her daughters, her sisters, her friends, a new romantic partner and most importantly, herself. This book was so well written, I did not want to put it down. I wish we got to see a bit more on Judah and his family but this book was mainly about Soledad's growth and her story was done beautifully. _x000D_ _x000D_ Character development, descriptive writing and multi-layered character are what you're going to get when you read this book."

Kennedy Ryan is an auto-buy author

"This is my 5th Kennedy Ryan book and after finishing this one I immediately put another series of hers on my TBR. _x000D_ _x000D_ ""This Could Be Us"" is the second in the Skyland series. Book 1 touched on Yasmen's story, while this one follows Soledad. You don't have to read the first one, but I feel like you'll appreciate the bond between the three friends all the more if you have already read book 1. I already can't wait for Hendrix's story!_x000D_ _x000D_ This quote perfectly illustrates the core theme of friendship in this book (and the series as a whole): ""There aren't enough sonnets for friendship. Not enough songs for the kind of love not born of blood or body but of time and care. They are the ones we choose to laugh and cry and live with. When lovers come and go, they are the ones who remain. We are each other's constants. ""_x000D_ _x000D_ Ryan's writing is always SO good, and this story does not disappoint. I don't want to spoil too much of what Soledad goes through, but I will say that if you love books about women's empowerment (and also revenge) then you will really enjoy this one. My recommendation is to pair this book with bell hook's ""All About Love"" (you'll get why when you read it) and some Puerto Rican takeout. _x000D_ _x000D_ Here are a few more things I appreciated about this book:_x000D_ - This book made me think differently about homemaking as a vocation and all the skill and hard work it takes to create a beautiful home and then share those skills with others. _x000D_ - This story features autism representation, as Soledad's love interest is co-parenting two boys with autism. _x000D_ - I love that Ryan bookended the novel with some of the recipes from the story, as well as discussion questions. _x000D_ _x000D_ Lastly, some trigger warnings to be aware of:_x000D_ - cheating partner & emotional abuse_x000D_ - cancer_x000D_ - racist grandparent_x000D_ _x000D_ Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for sending me an e-arc of this book! Can't wait to get a copy when it comes out."
