Couldn’t Stop Reading

"This book was absolutely heartbreaking, I loved the details and how the author didn’t hold back. This book really helps to understand the severity of addiction and the impact it has on those around you."

"Very captivating memoir of the rises and falls through addiction. Nic Sheff has a way with words that can make you feel what he is feeling. So many life lessons taught throughout this novel. I cannot count how many times I've read this book over and over again. With laughter, tears and heartache. I definitely recommend the sequel ""We All Fall Down"""

Ashh (5/5)

An incredible story!

"This book will break your heart, leave you in shock as to the depravity this kid lives through, and will leave you asking questions about your own view on life. It's one of the best books I've ever read, I simply couldn't put down. Honest, heartbreaking, and incredibly well written."

Jody (5/5)

Cohesive Mix of Authenticity, Description and Vulnerability

"Through an authentic prose, Nic Sheff delivers a truly painfully vulnerable and graphic, and yet engrossing insight into his drug addicted life. With Sheff's genuine descriptions, readers will, without a doubt, grasp new information with every read, and experience grim emotions, which will help them pose a critical view to their lifes. Overall, Nic Sheff's novel ''Tweak: Growing Up on Metamphetamines'' is one that should be read by all youth as well as their parents, given that it may serve as a model for an anti-drug enhanced life."

Good but repetative

"Actually rated 2. 5/5 stars! I had such a hard time rating this one because I did enjoy reading it. I found reading about all of his struggles and what he went through incredibly eye opening and interesting. If I was rating on just that alone, my rating probably would have been closer to a 4/5. My issue was just that it was so repetitive, the same things happened over and over again(I realize that it's about what actually happened to him, so these events probably did happen over and over) I just found that it made the book a little boring and I found myself wanting to skip over things because I felt like I had already read them. I also felt like the ending left a lot to be desired. It ended so abruptly that it threw me off and left me feeling unsatisfied. Overall, I like the way Nic Sheff writes and I would not be opposed to reading more of his books, I'm sure they would be incredibly interesting. I just wasn't completely in love with this one"
