From the author of The Phoenix Keeper comes a dazzling new monster romance series filled with parallel worlds, irreverent banter, and dexterous tails - unmissable for fans of Bride by Ali Hazelwood and Quicksilver by Callie Hart.
WOULD IT BE SO BAD, TO BE DEVOURED?
Fi has a rare gift: the ability to walk the Void, perfect for her work as a cross-dimensional smuggler. Survival and fortune depend on following her strict set of rules: keep your routes secret, draw your energy sword first, and - at all costs - avoid the daeyari, the immortal beasts armed with antlers, claws, and tails who feast on humans.
When a particularly shady job goes terribly wrong, Fi is thrown at the feet of the one daeyari lord she never wanted to meet.
Antal is a hunter, seemingly as cold as he is cunning - but in over his head, with his city crumbling and this infuriating smuggler insisting she had nothing to do with it. So he offers Fi a deal: help him find the mastermind behind the attack and he'll spare her life.
Neither are prepared for what it will ignite. The taboo alliance between predator and prey could spark a revolution - and a temptation, for how sweet the monster's fangs might feel.

"Voidwalker devoured me, as entirely as a daeyari devours a sacrifice. This book is deliciously sharp, achingly romantic, and gloriously messy in only the best ways. Feral and flirtatious, it’s equal parts teeth and tenderness. Fi and Antal’s banter made me laugh, scream, and fall headfirst into the Void. I’d walk between worlds for this book. My new obsession, and easily a new favorite."—Mikayla Bridge, author of Of Flame and Fury

Vibrant and vicious new world!
"Such an incredible world, vibrant and vicious. I was completely enthralled from start to finish. Ever since a brush with death as a child, Fionamara has been able to see “Curtains,” cuts in the fabric separating worlds that allow her to travel to different planes. Her ability comes in handy as a smuggler and gives her an edge in a world ruled by beasts called the daeyari, who control the territories and demand sacrifices in the form of humans to satisfy their hunger. After a heist gone wrong, Fi is unwittingly thrown into a coup to overthrow Antal, her territory’s daeyari leader. Antal is unseated by a vicious rival who holds a terrifying history with Fi. Now she finds herself reluctantly helping him, one of the very monsters she has spent her life running from. She’s stuck with him, working with him, surviving with him, and maybe even starting to like him. Oh man, things just got a whole lot more complicated… It has been a while since I’ve been introduced to a world that was entirely new. This one was. The magic system was enthralling and intriguing. The world was mesmerizing, and the creatures were eye-opening. I loved not knowing what to expect or what would come next. It is one of those worlds where the author has full rein to do whatever they want, and they get to just play. I wanted to take my time with this world, devour it, absorb it, and just enjoy it. Fi’s perspective hooked me instantly. She wears her snark and violence like armor, but underneath, her insecurities peek through, revealing the layers of her character. Then comes Antlers, I mean Antal, disrupting her life, representing all her regrets and fears. He carries baggage of his own, but beneath the weight of family and politics, he is fighting to be better, not the monster others expect. Together, they are a force. Their slow burn was delicious, with the sarcasm turning into flirtation, into heat, into raw need. But it was the soft moments I loved. The care and comfort that neither was used to. Those moments were well deserved, and simply beautiful. Also, Fi and Astrid’s relationship is heartfelt and emotional, the ache, heartbreak, and connection really hit hard. All around, an incredible world that I can’t wait to get more of."

S. A. MacLean is a fantasy romance author from sunny Southern California. Infatuated with magical worlds since her days of brewing mud potions in her childhood garden, she fell in love with the romantasy genre after realizing all her favorite fantasy novels had kisses in them. Her stories invariably feature quirky humor, sassy animal companions, and queer casts who represent her voice as a chaotic bisexual woman. Sarah received her BS in Natural Resources from Cornell University and a PhD in Environmental Science from UC Berkeley. She left the research track to teach environmental science at her local community college, inspiring the next generation of students to save the planet.
