Reviews

Great book

"Loved this book. Characters were intersting and the plot and setting were engaging."

Robin (5/5)

Tried something new

"Interesting concept, slow to start, but it paid off in the end. Never saw the show."

ChrisB (4/5)

Is the book always better than the show?

"I picked up this novel after watching the first two seasons of Silo on TV. I was pleasantly surprised to find the novel quite different in the storytelling. I can see why the show is different, and it does not detract from the read at all. The characters in the novel are well drawn, the action and pacing quick, and the setting is just as intriguing. Well worth checking out if you are a fan of the show. Don't expect it to follow the plot too closely, or even the secondary characters, but trust you get to the same key places."

SMcK (4/5)

Great dystopian read

"Bought the book because I enjoyed the show so much. The book is quite different from the show. To be honest, I think I like the show better."

Kirsten T. (4/5)

Poetic and tragic dystopian sci-fi.

"The complex characters and mystery kept me hooked. I liked the first book enough to read the other two from the series. It could have used more thorough editing with some passages seeming repetitive without benefit, but easy to brush past."

Kait (4/5)

Send me out to clean. . . what a horrible sentence.

"A dark and gritty vision of the future of humanity. How could we let this happen? If you are enjoying the TV show, this is a must read!"

Duncan W. (5/5)

Silo series is excellent

"Compelling story! Read it many years ago but am re-reading it now as I watch the televised production of Silo!"

A W. (5/5)

A good read even if you’ve watched the TV series.

"I watched the series on Apple TV+ first. I debated purchasing the novel, but eventually did so. The book is different from the series in a number of ways which makes reading it pleasurable as you get to comparing the choices the author made to the ones the producers made for the series. There are spoilers, as the 1st book moves into the 2nd season of the TV series. Looking forward to the other books in the trilogy."

Doug M. (4/5)

Solid read.

"I enjoyed this book. It took me about 7 hours to get through the entirety and my husband and father in law enjoyed it as well."

Kelsey (4/5)

Better book

"Interested by the show. The book is better as always"
