As an educator of Egyptian and Norse Mythology I am always looking for works that are indeed informative and educational for our young readers. This literary tapestry provides these readers (ages 9-12) with a solid background of the central figures that play vital roles, such as Ra and Anubis, in Egyptian Mythology and Odin and Thor in Norse Mythology. The quick presentation of each story (10 minutes) does not overwhelm the reader. Yet the author provides details such as the discussion of the nine realms the first being Asgard, where Odin reigns. I found this work both interested, well done and researched, and entertaining. I would highly recommend it for the chosen age group and for adults not familiar with these mythologies.

While these quick reads are intended to introduce young readers to some of the world's great mythology, they are a fascinating read for adults too. The vitality of each story shines through as one chapter leads you to another in an ever-continuing saga. What a great way to encourage children to read! Looking forward to checking out the author's other compilations.

A great way of diving into various subjects or timeframes to catch the readers imagination and also learning at the same time. These stories are 10 minutes long and highly enjoyable. The mythology of these times is fascinating for an adult let alone children. It's amazing how much one forgets, very entertaining, recommend it.
