"This little gem of a book is a classic spiritual read. It is essentially about our ""godliness"" in the sense that we were created by God and God is with us. His eternal love and goodness is in us; rather, it is our ego that is created by out humanness that taints our godliness. The prayers were so pertinent along with the final chapter entitled ""Heaven""."

"The first time I read this book I really didn't love it. The language rubbed me the wrong way and the clarity and certainty with which Marianne expressed herself was really 'too much' for me. The second time I read it - a few years and life experience's later - and my experience was entirely different. This classic work of spiritual sharing and enlightened conviction brought me to tears of awe and joy on several occasions. It truly touched my heart and my soul in ways I cannot fully express into words. Marianne's clarity and mastery is remarkable, and her prose and arguments truly speak to all aspects of life - spiritual and mundane. If you are open, this book is spiritual seeker's safe haven. "Although the author comes from a Jewish background, she writes the book with a Christian perspective, citing the Holy Spirit quite often. That was perfectly fine for me, a Muslim, because the focus on the book is not about dogma, but about divine love. Her focal message is to place love - for God, for ourselves, and for others - at the centre of our daily interactions. This love is not the corny, popular type, but the type with which people really struggle. For those of us who are particularly hard on ourselves, self-love is a constant struggle, albeit an important one that helps develop stronger and more resilient character. While this book is longer than I would have liked it to be, it is a great one - one absolutely worth reading."
