Love this book!

"This book is one of my favourites in the series. I’ve always been a book nerd, so I loved the grammar elements in the story. Their Aunt Josephine is obsessed with grammar, so she is always correcting other people’s language. She is also afraid of everything, from answering the phone to turning a doorknob. She is quite extreme but it makes the story funny. Even thought I knew how the story ended, I loved reading about the puzzle the kids had to solve at the end. After this book, the puzzles the children have to solve become more complicated. I can’t wait to continue rereading the series!"

Witty and Dark

"I love how there is an air of mystery as the events of The Wide Window unfolds. However, the unhappy ending that is prevalent in all of the ASOUE books is quite fitting for this book, as it's depressing yet realistic, showing the tragedy that is the Baudelaires' situation, which leaves you grasping for more after the book is finished."

Lemony Snicket is hilarious

"The Reptile Room and The Wide Window are probably my two favourites of the series. It's a great choice for young readers - good vocabulary, and excellent, witty narration."

A Fabulous Series

"I'm usually not a fan of soft covers, but I adore the new art on the covers of these re-releases, and am adding them to my shelf beside the classic hardcovers!"

Lemony Snicket is often despondent, mostly about his published research, which includes A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Composer Is Dead.
