Farshad Zahedi is an Associate Professor of film and media studies at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is the author of more than forty peer-reviewed publications on his research interests in Iranian cinema and Asian media at large. His project on Asian audio-visual cultures has recently been granted by an internationally competitive programme of Eurasia Foundation (from Asia). This book is a result of this project, in addition to two editions of a specialized course and an International symposium.

Marta Lopera-Mármol is a lecturer at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a member of the GAME research group. She was previously a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Communication of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a PhD Cum Laude in Communication from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) with an international mention at the University of Cambridge and Sorbonne Nouvelle III, an MRes Cum Laude in Social Communication from UPF, and a bachelor&s degree in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Barcelona. Lopera-Mármol has taught in different universities, published several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals. Her research interests are media sustainability, mental disorders and TV series.
