Grant Berg is a Métis sculptor, author, and gallery owner of the Grant Berg Gallery in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Both his writing and his sculptures are inspired by the stories told to him by his Cree/Métis Grandmother, who he grew up very close to. Grant's past affiliations include the Premier’s Council on Culture and Chair of the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie. Currently, Grant is serving his community as a juried member of the Alberta Society of Artists, and as a Grande Prairie City Councillor.

Phoebe Riel is an illustrator based in Mohkinstsis (Calgary), Alberta, and a proud member of the ‘Na̲mg̲is First Nation with Ojibway roots and mixed European ancestry. A graduate of the Alberta University of the Arts, she specializes in children’s books and community-based art projects that honour Indigenous stories and the natural world. Her work blends Traditional Teachings with a warm, whimsical style that celebrates connection, imagination, and identity. Phoebe’s illustrations aim to inspire curiosity, kindness, and a sense of belonging in young readers.
