so lovely

"Loved following both of Joan’s journeys as an astronaut, as well as finding her true self. Joan is everything you want in a lead character: inquisitive, strong, smart, fierce and most of all… courageous. What a meaningful love story navigating trials and tribulations in a time where space explorations is infinite, but people are limited by their bigotry"

Absolutely incredible!

"My favourite book of 2025. One of the best love stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. We are all so lucky to live in a time where TJR exists and produces masterpieces like this. To paraphrase a quote from the book, I’m so grateful for the perfect distance between the sun and Earth, allowing life as we know it to exist, and for this moment where I’ve read the best book of the year to take place."

Good but not Great

"It is good but not great. Interesting setting and characters. The timeline of the book, going back and forth was not done as well as some authors use of this tool to build up tension in the story. However, the love story component was well done. Maybe it was the times, set in the early 1980's but I did not find one of the main characters creditable. Hard to accept going through the difficult and challenging training of becoming an astronaut vs how she dealt with her personal life, in particular her sister. That relationship was perhaps the weakest part of the narrative. As I was reading it I thought this will be made into a movie, and sure enough it will be."
