"Okay, so I just started reading the Attack on Titan series today and I read the first volume online to see what it's about. All my friends were nagging at me to watch it but I though that reading it would be better. I was not disappointed. I was IMMENSELY pleased with my purchase. I loved every single bit of this volume from start to finish. As soon as I bought it I read it on the bus ride home and I nearly missed my stop because I was so absorbed into this book. I've been really into dark fantasies lately as well as post-apocalyptic series (like Hell's Paradise and Black Bullet) and I (FINALLY) decided to read Attack on Titan and it was just so good. The only regret I have is not starting it sooner considering that it ends in like 5-6 chapters:((((( Overall, the translations were pretty good and the artwork is superb. Like, all the action scenes were well illustrated (that's what mainly hooked me). The best part is how cheap the first few volumes are compared to some of my favourite romcom manga."

Hajime Isayama first published Attack on Titan in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. It became a sleeper hit and won the Kodansha Manga Award in shōnen category in 2011. This is his first manga.
