As a young child, Min Sung Ku dreamed of becoming a comic book illustrator. At six years old, he drew a picture of Superman standing behind the American flag. He has since achieved his childhood dream, having illustrated popular licensed comics properties like the Justice League, Batman Beyond, Spider-man, Ben 10, Phineas & Ferb, the Replacements, the Proud Family, Krpyto the Superdog, and, of course, Superman. Min lives in Southern California with his lovely wife and their beautiful twin daughters, Elisia and Eliana.

John Montroll is respected for his work in Origami throughout the world. His published work has significantly increased the global repertoire of original designs in Origami. John is also acknowledged for new techniques and ground-breaking bases. TheAmerican Origami master is known for being the inspiration behind the single-square, no cuts, no glue approach in Origami. Each model that John designs has a meticulously developed folding sequence. John''s long-standing experience allows him to accomplish a model in lesser number of steps rather than plenty. It is his constant endeavor to give the reader a pleasing folding experience.

To grab the kids’ attention, you might also add some fun new origami books tied into pop culture, such as Capstone’s “DC Origami” series. Each title in the series, like Batman Origami, includes 11 different projects. Origami, especially with these titles, is one that I’d set out for children with more concentration, focus, and higher reading skills. The projects are advanced and most have anywhere from 15 to 30 steps.  To produce origami projects, kids must slow down to read and digest instructions, thereby improving their skills in reading and comprehension.
