Be Brave, Kai! was inspired by a story the author first wrote in 4th grade titled "The Brave Knight." Christine's love for writing began early, as she actively participated in the Young Authors' Program at Richard Yates Elementary School- an experience that helped spark her passion for storytelling.

While the storyline has evolved since she was nine years old, Be brave Kai! still captures the spirit of courage, now paired with light-hearted humor that children can connect with. It's a story designed to inspire bravery, especially by young readers who may feel like their circumstances are overwhelming or hopeless.
