Excellent read - once I started, could hardly put the book down. Unbelievable that this actually took place. If it wasn't for Victoria's courage, determination and resolve, this horrible surgeon could still be practicing. Shame on those in leadership.

On a positive note, a wonderful underlying love story between two people who deeply cared for each other.

This book presents situations to the main character that would make anyone just want to give up to preserve their sanity. She was faced with a plethora of events that were against who she was and what she believed in. She used her faith and support system, especially her loving and supportive husband for strength and took it to the end until justice was served. This story will keep you engaged to the end.

A gripping story depicting greater systemic issues in Western medicine.

"Dr. Pathan" is the personification of a system that is ruled by misogyny and capitalistic greed. Loved the strong moral and spiritual undertones of the story: light rules over sickness, darkness, and greed no matter how difficult the circumstance.

A True Patient Advocate!

A Must Read! Hard to believe this could happen. I couldn't put it down. Thankful this woman was strong enough to do the right thing. She is a great advocate for all patients. An added bonus was the beautiful story of friendship and love!

Some books are hard to put down. This is one of them. You will cry, be angry and find yourself laughing out loud. The writer is passionate about life and love and doing the right thing. She advocates for the people who are not "heard". Amazing read. I highly recommend this book wholeheartedly.

A must read! This is a terrifying story of how a health care system goes awry. Unethical and immoral physicians and hospital staff are the crux of this story. We need hospital staff with stamina to stand up against an evil adversary. Thank goodness this is fiction !

The relationship Victoria has with Tim is touching and will bring tears to your eyes.
