All at once, most of the world's population vanishes without a trace, their clothes left where they disappeared. Of those left behind, some become freaks of nature known as Nerve Beings, with nerve endings hanging out from underneath their eyelids and fingernails, and attack on sight.
Marija is a slovenian woman in the process of putting her sick dog down when she sees the veterinarian disappear into thin air, and sets her mind to using the new chaos as an opportunity to take her dog on a final journey before putting him down humanely herself to spare him his suffering. She finds an old muscle car and brings her dog on a road trip, while avoiding dangers across the way, including a strange military plane that seems to be following her.
