This anthology includes all of the 2022 North Dakota winners of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards program started in New York City in 1923 and has an impressive roster of past winners, such as Truman Capote and Sylvia Plath. Since 2014, The Red River Valley Writing Project and Plains Art Museum have partnered to serve as the North Dakota State Affiliate for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. The mission of the Awards is to identify teenagers (grades 7-12) with exceptional artistic and literary talent and bring their remarkable work to a national audience. The works are judged on creativity, personal voice, and technical skill. Students have complete freedom of expression.
