As men and women when we meet someone and realize that we love them, we want to find out everything that we can about them; what that person likes, where they grew up, do they have any brothers or sisters, the list can go on and on. As Christians; however, our love for Jesus is too often focused on us. We know that Jesus loves us and that He died to save us from our sins, but beyond that our love is based on our feelings; how does Christian music, the pastor, members of our congregation make us feel. When things go wrong, we often blame God instead of ourselves; after all, isn't a Christian life suppose to be free of any serious problem? Many Christians are completely surprised when they make a sincere effort to get to know Jesus; what was He really like, how many brothers and sisters did He have, what did He mean when He told the stories He told, why does He love us anyway.
