Blade of the immortal 1 review

"Reminds me of berserk a lot great manga if you have just started reading."

A really good story!

"Before reading this book, I had never had any experience with the series Blade of the Immortal before. The story itself looked very interesting, and I had a great experience with collecting the Berserk Deluxe series, so I figured I would start this one via the deluxe edition. After reading through the first book, I can safely say that I am absolutely hooked to the series. The art is phenomenal with beautiful attention to detail. Reading through the panels, I found myself enthralled by the depth. In combat scenes, the fights are easy to keep up with and to understand what is actually happening: a weakness found in many other manga series. However, it doesn't compromise the actual fights detail in order to achieve this. The story itself is a revenge tale (or at least it appears that way in this first book). It is the type of story that follows the main characters as they travel and face off against numerous of the antagonist's thralls, all to push toward the main bad guy. That being said, there is depth to it. Manji, the character we follow the most, is an immortal warrior with a forsaken past. Bound by his vow of redemption, he becomes swept up as a body guard in a revenge quest for the character Rin. Manji seeks to slay a thousand villains in order to redeem himself, while Rin seeks to avenge her parents after their murder. With their experiences, all of the characters throughout the book operate based on their own philosophy--including the side characters and villains they meet. Watching their comparison of ideas as they face off against one another or negotiate adds some depth and unique detail to each new encountered character. In other words: despite knowing Manji is seemingly immortal, you won't find yourself getting bored as he faces off against his and Rin's opponents. If you're a fan of series like Vinland Saga or Vagabond, you'll probably really enjoy this series. These are big hardcover books that will certainly stand out in any book collection. I have great expectations for this series and I'm excited to read more!"
