Kim Doner is an artist who writes, illustrates, designs, teaches, and speaks professionally. She is recognized as an award-winning author/illustrator of children''s books.
Kim has received several awards for her numerous books for children, including the Oklahoma Book Award for Best Illustrated Book. Buffalo Dreams won Best Children''s Book, ForeWord Magazine, Children''s Literature, 1999
She spends much of her time crusading on behalf of literacy and the arts. She is invited to speak at schools and literary conferences every year. She engineers her presentations for age appropriate groups from ages 3 to 103 to meet their interests, and curriculum/situational needs.
She is a member of the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers, Society of Children''s Book Writers and Illustrators, Graphic Artist''s Guild, Oklahoma Center for the Book, International Reading Association, and the Society for Creative Anachronism.
