In Bukowski's LA, poet, journalist, novelist, artist, actor, filmmaker, and raconteur Matt Dukes Jordan takes Bukowski readers and fans on a comprehensive tour of Bukowski's Los Angeles. Jordan explores the relationship between Bukowski and the city that inspired him, revealing the depth of the connection between his life in his hometown and his artistic work. In a sense, this book is a biography of a creative spirit told through the places where he lived, wrote, painted, drank, and partied. It includes an annotated list of key Bukowski places, essays about Bukowski's relationship to L.A., maps, photos, drawings, a comic strip about Bukowski, poems, and a preface by Bukowski's friend and biographer, Neeli Cherkovski. This book is loaded with information and cool images that Bukowski fans will enjoy! Plus it has one more special feature: a section of rare, unpublished photos by Sam Cherry, a friend of Buk's, and father of Neeli Cherkovski.
