Allegra 'Aleya' Pena is an American belly dancer who decided to pack it all up and move to Cairo, Egypt from Los Angeles, CA in 2008, just as the housing market was crashing and burning, and the recession was starting-to pursue her dream of belly dancing in the Middle East. At the age of 39, when most artists would never even think that was possible, she took the plunge and ended up in the mother land of belly dance.
