A Great Finale to an Incredible Series

"4. 5 stars And thus, this enjoyable, thrilling, and gruesome series has come to a close. I really enjoyed this final installment and think it was a great finale to the series, wrapping up everything and providing closure for readers. For the Thomas Cresswell lovers out there (as all should be), you will delight in this novel and the romance within. As if there were any doubt of loving Thomas Cresswell before, he created a new standard for men in this book. Men, take notes. I really enjoyed this series and the uniqueness of it. Also, the darkness of it! Part of me is surprised that this is “accepted” as YA due to the dark and graphic content alone. But I’m not complaining! It’s an example of not placing something into a specific “box”, which could be said for Audrey Rose’s character as well with her strength, independence, and intelligence. I’m sad to say goodbye to this series but it will definitely be one that’s remembered."

So good

"Best book on the series, the romance in this one really stepped up its game from the other books, and it has a really good amount of mystery/adventure too."

A bit of a let down

"As much as I have enjoyed Kerri’s KOTW series, I did not enjoy this one. The plot was amazing, but somehow it fell short."

What an Ending!

"I didn't expect to love this series as much I did. I know quite a few people who have finished the series and swore up and down how much they loved Audrey Rose and Thomas and I am definitely in that boat now. I will always be rooting for them and I hope their ancestors are thriving. I loved being able to see Kerri come into her writing style, improve her storytelling and see Audrey Rose and Thomas receive their well deserved ending made this one of my favourite reads of 2021. The series may start awkward and a little wonky, but I promise, it only get's better as you read through"

Kerri Maniscalco grew up in a semi-haunted house outside New York City, where her fascination with gothic settings began. In her spare time she reads everything she can get her hands on, cooks all kinds of food with her family and friends, and drinks entirely too much tea while discussing life's finer points with her cats. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling novels Stalking Jack the Ripper,Hunting Prince Dracula, and Escaping From Houdini.
