After a career spent as a teacher, researcher and senior administrator of IT, James P. Angel retired and decided it was time to write his book. Carbon Copy, his first novel, is based on an idea that first came to him in the 1980s. An early draft of the first chapter was written on a Smith Corona typewriter.

In his spare time, James enjoys playing music, dancing in "Old Men Dancing", photography and travel. He lives in Peterborough, Ontario, with his wife Ilona. They love spending time visiting their six children and ten grandchildren!

“…Once I opened the book up, I found it difficult to put down. I ended up reading it late into the night and then early in the morning. It is refreshing to read a novel with such a unique plot. The pacing is excellent. There is a nice balance of action, dialogue, and introspection. The characters are well-developed, and I enjoyed their interactions with each other as their relationships evolved. This added a nice layer of depth to the narrative….Carbon Copy is a masterfully written mystery-suspense novel that has some elements of science fiction. It will appeal to fans of mystery, intrigue, suspense, and science fiction. James P. Angel’s skillful storytelling and his ability to create well-developed characters all blend in well with this intricate plot. I highly recommend reading Carbon Copy.
