Crew of the Eagle Hawk sign up to haul a medical team to a red dwarf system called Gliese 876. A thousand colonists are getting sick from some local alien bug and the local doctor hasn't figured out a solution. The crew also gets a full load of supplies that didn't make the trip with the colonist. It is fifteen light-years from Earth. It's a long trip. Space Command wants to send along a company of marines to garison in the colony.
Soon after Eagle Hawk's arrival, at the Gliese 876 star system, unwelcome guests arrive.
