Denise Rosario Adusei's personal mission is to exhibit possibilities and portray different worlds to children. As the Executive Director of the Bronx Children's Museum, she sparks the imagination by exposing children to the arts. When writing children's books, she draws from her experience as a preschool director and former child. Although her children have grown up, Denise remains a child at heart.

Cesaria Feels the Beat is an empowering story about empathy and the need to remove your own shoes instead of ‘walking a mile’ in someone else’s. Cesaria advocates for herself and emphasizes that music and dance are universal no matter your hearing level. The illustrations are bold and vibrant, bringing Cesaria to life and her story will resonate with d/Deaf readers.” -- Erika B. Gagnon, AuD, CCC-A, Pediatric Audiologist
