Great insight and tips for parenting!

"This book is well organized into manageable chunks, which makes it easier for parents of young kids to read in short bursts. I appreciate that it provides realistic scenarios in examples that all parents can relate to, and offers tips and suggestions without feeling preachy or judgemental. I also liked that it includes some behavioural terminology on the side in case you want to delve further into the scientific aspect. I highly recommend for parents of young kids, so as to have more ideas in the tool box to deal with various interactions with your kids."

Highly Recommended! Lots of great, practical tips.

"A great read with lots of simple practical tips. A very organized and well thought-out book, you can tell the authors are professionals and parents. Wish I had this when the kids were younger, but I am always recommending this book whenever I can. Lots of great examples and scenarios that all families can tackle with their research-based strategies. A super helpful tool and highly recommended!"

Wish I had this sooner!

"I wish I had this book when my kids were younger to practice the strategies and have them in place as a habit. Never too late to get started though and the strategies are still great for older kids. The writers build on the strengths of the family and make suggestions on how to tackle common areas of conflict. The strategies are explained using research which builds your confidence in using them because then you know why you are doing it this way. There are great real life examples so that you can see how you may apply to your family’s particular situation. Great resource for any family. Highly recommended!!"

Almost as good as Firekeeper's Daughter. . .

"Just love this author and the positive, honest, modern view of Indigenous life that she invites us to read about."

Highly Recommend!

"I am a psychotherapist in Ontario and offer parenting support to many families. I recommend this book often as I find it to be incredibly helpful in supporting parents with the “how“ when it comes to navigating both every day and extremely difficult life situations. It offers a practical tool belt of sorts, which is clearly based on relevant research and collaboration. This book also covers many of the difficult topics that we face today as parents which makes it relatable and extremely helpful."
