CAF Dowlah is a visiting scholar at Fordham University School of Law and former Professor of Economics in the State and City University systems of New York, where he taught for three decades. He also served for several years as a policy advisor to the United Nations and World Bank. Dowlah holds a PhD in economics from the University of Southern California and an LLM from the University of Miami Law School. He has published more than 30 scholarly articles and authored over a dozen books, including Transformation of Global Prosperity (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018), Foundations of Modern Slavery (2022), Cross-Border Labor Mobility (Palgrave Macmillan, 2024), and Economics and Financial Sanctions of the United States(2025).
