Wish it were both volumes.

"Great back story but for only half the characters."

Thelros (5/5)

A+ Title for fellow Critters

"Critical Role is just the best. No complaints here."

AJ (5/5)

""Thats a buy""

"Beautiful artwork through and through, it is easy to see how much of a passion project this was for everyone involved. You can read the book before or after finishing Season 2 of Critical Role because it serves as an introduction or prequel of sorts for the characters."

Melissa (5/5)

Mighty Nein Collection

"A wonderful collection. Beautiful art, engaging stories, all bound together in a gorgeous hardcover book. Highly recommend!"

EM (5/5)

Great collection

"Great for fans of the show to get more info, and see each characters backstory!"

Rosza (5/5)

The Mighty Nein are a Pale Comparison to their Critical Role Siblings.

"Disapointed with the story format. Art wasn't too immoressive either."

Sam Maggs is a bestselling author of books, comics, and video games. She’s been a senior games writer, including work on Marvel’s Spider-Man; the author of many YA and middle-grade books like The Unstoppable Wasp, Con Quest!, Tell No Tales, and The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy; and a comics writer for beloved titles like Marvel Action: Captain Marvel, My Little Pony, and Transformers. She is also an on-air host for networks like Nerdist. A Canadian in Los Angeles, she misses Coffee Crisp and bagged milk.

Jody Houser decided she wanted to be a writer when she was eight years old and never looked back. For better or worse, no one ever suggested that she stop. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Emerson College in Boston, where she completed her master's thesis in screenwriting and was a winner of the Rod Parker Fellowship for Playwriting.

Starting in 2006, Jody began experimenting with webcomics. She is the creator behind the webcomic Cupcake POW!, which launched in 2010 and is currently available on comiXology Submit.

Jody has written Faith for Valiant Comics, Max Ride: Ultimate Flight and Agent May for Marvel, and Orphan Black for IDW. She has been a contributing writer to numerous comic anthologies including Avengers: No More Bullying, Vertigo CMYK: Magenta, and both Womanthology series.

Cecil Castellucci is the author of books and graphic novels for young adults including Boy Proof, The Plain Janes, First Day on Earth, The Year of the Beasts, Tin Star, Stone in the Sky and the Eisner nominated Odd Duck. Her picture book, Grandma's Gloves, won the California Book Award Gold Medal. Her short stories have been published in Strange Horizons, YARN, Tor.com, and various anthologies including, Teeth, After, and Interfictions 2. She is the Children's Correspondence Coordinator for The Rumpus, a two time Macdowell Fellow and the founding YA Editor at The LA Review of Books.

In addition to writing books, she writes plays, makes movies, does performance pieces, and still occasionally rocks out. Born in New York City to French Canadian parents, she is a citizen of both America and Canada. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles.
