Andrew Lucas was born in Hampshire in 1958, writer, businessman, and father of four, Andrew attended St Michaels School in Aldershot, and Farnham school of art & design, before graduating as an adult through UOB(Eng Lit) in 1996. During the years between college and university Andrew trained as hairstylist and later as a photographic stylist and make-up artist through Vidal Sassoon, the Lauder Group, and Essanelle (Harrods & Selfridges). During the late eighties and early nineties Andrew left London to build and manage the successful hair & beauty group 'Mirror Mirror', before moving to Isle of Wight to set up and run Andrew Ross H&B. Always a storyteller at heart, in March 2008 Andrew retired from business to concentrate on writing full time. Among other credits: - Observer 1978 'Running home' Gold. Magazine & journalistic credits - Woman - Womens own - Tatler - Daily mail - The New Englander (Historical 'faction'). Short stories - 'The count of Monte Cristo died here' (Boston tell-a-tale 2005 winner - 'Ryan Chillerton was not my mate' - 'Aspic and an old face' New York 'A day in a book' winner. Books -'Cross dressed to kill' UK No.1 bestselling ebook, summer 2011. 'Reunion' 2008 (Re-issue due Spring 2013). 'The final cut' 2000 (Pied Piper). Poetry - first and last Home Counties Lit-Fest Poetry prize. 'Summat to fink abaht'. A 'Save the Children' collection of poety, yarns, and sillies.
