Nitin can be found either digging histories or typing away code on a computer. Born Mookonda Poonacha Nitin Kushalappa, Nitin develops software for a living; having been responsible for some 22 iPhone apps released on the app store so far. He has worked as a lead, entrepreneur, and senior consultant for a number of companies over the past decade.

Hailing from Coorg, a region rich in oral lore, Nitin devours anything edible on myths and folk stories. His various articles have been published by the Deccan Herald, Times of India, Star of Mysore and Coffeeland News. He has authored seven books so far - four on a local history, one on a biography of an army hero, one a translation of a freedom-fighter's biography from Kannada to English and the last was a fictional novella which is a modern-age Ramayan. He is also the researcher for the Kodava Virtual Museum, and has done work on an old temple script. Currently, he lives in Bangalore with his family.
