The Body Feels, The Face Reveals, Consciousness Emerges,The thought of António Damásio and A. Freitas-Magalhães is analyzed and articulated in an integrative reading of the human mind, placing emotion at the center of consciousness. The book demonstrates that emotion is a primary neurobiological process that organizes the body, manifests itself on the face and, when lived, gives rise to consciousness.
