Daughter of the Moon Goddess review

"Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan is inspired by the ancient Chinese myth of the moon goddess Chang'e. In Tan's story, Xingyin is the secret, magical daughter of Chang'e, who was exiled to the moon for stealing an elixir of immortality. After her existence is discovered, Xingyin flees her lunar home to the Celestial Kingdom, where she trains in magic and archery to find a way to free her mother."

A nice surprise!

"I got this book during the $10 romantasy sale and I wasn’t expecting much. However, it quickly became one of my favourite reads of the year! It’s so whimsical and magical. The plot is engaging and the characters are complex. I immediately went and bought the sequel."

4⭐️

"4⭐️- I enjoyed the writing, the characters, and the love triangle (at one point, I thought it may be square), and the FMC is a badass. I started reading this book, and even as great as the writing was, I was not entirely in the mood for a fantasy/romance. I'm in a fluffy romance mood, but my Goodreads friend LYZA has been recommending this book for a long time. I ended up dual reading and audio booking this book, making it 10 times more enjoyable. I can't wait to get into the second book, which I've been told is even better than this one!"
