The subject of these encomiums was born at Bristol, where his'father lived, and was apreache'r amongst the' Society of Friends. His mother's mai den name Was Jane Dunn, a Bristol woman; he served his apprenticeship to Mr. W1lliam Fry, of Bris tol, grocer, and married early in life, Miss Hannah Darby, daughter of Mi'. Abraham Darby, of Coal brook 'dale, . By whom he had two children, who lived to maturity, viz. William'and Hannah Mary. Wil liam Reynolds Was a' man of great talent, and was well known in the scientific wdrld for many useful discoveries in chemistry, &c. He died some' years ago near Coal-brook Dale, leaving a widow and se Veral children.' Hannah Mary was married to the late accomplished and philanthmpic William Rath bone, (if Liverpobl, and has a'large family. Some time afteii the death of his first'wife, ' Mr Reynolds married Miss Rebecca Gulston, the daughter of Dr. Gulston, of Coventry, by whom he had two sons, who lived to be men, viz. J oseph', now living at Ket ley, near Coal-brook Dale, 3 Very respectable. Man.
