"Whitten weaves a captivating tale in this debut, in which even secondary characters come to feel like old friends. The novel seamlessly blends "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Beauty and the Beast" into an un-put-down-able fairy tale that traces the boundaries of duty, love, and loss. A masterful debut from a must-read new voice in fantasy."

Reviews

Great!

"Great ending to the duology. Definitely recommend!"

Sarah (5/5)

Be sure to read For the Wolf first. Necessary backstory.

"A fairy tale of two sisters love for each other and the misunderstood men that they meet. This was a fun read full of dark imagery and sacrifices made for those you love."

Miss G. (4/5)

Super interesting world building.

"The staff are lovely and the store is super clean and organized."

Mandy (5/5)

Good Duology, but I enjoyed Book 1 more

"I enjoyed this conclusion to the Wilderwood duology, but not even close to the first book. I devoured the first book, and this second book took so much longer to get through. Perhaps it had something to do with Neve, perhaps there wasn't enough explanations of certain things. I really am unsure. I did enjoy this duology overall, but book one was better than book 2."

Ashley (4/5)

Can't Wait to Continue

"I'm excited to finally pick up this sequel. Book one was fun and entertaining, I'm sure book two will also live up to expectation."

BookDream (4/5)

Great YA fantasy series

"I feel like the series is a little more YA than just fantasy. That being said was a great story. Love hate revenge and a good amount of twists."

Kyla (4/5)

Actually Good Sequel

"I adore For the Wolf and this was definitely a worthy sequel!"

Montanna (5/5)

For the throne a fun sequel

"A very satisfying conclusion, it is great to spend such time with Neverah."

Raymond (4/5)

Detailed

"This book painted the perfected pictures in my head. It was just as good as book 1, and I’d recommend it to anyone"

Emily (5/5)

Great sequel, recommend the duopoly to anyone.

"Amazingly written, I loved being in the world of the Shadowlands and the Wilderwood. One of those books you’re actually sad to finish, because that means you’re done."

Hannah Whitten has been writing to amuse herself since she could hold a pen, and sometime in high school, she figured out that what amused her might also amuse others. When she's not writing, she's reading, making music, or attempting to bake. She lives in Tennessee with her husband and children in a house ruled by a temperamental cat.
