Reviews

Excellent book for parenting

"A real shift in parenting from the way we were parented. More about validation and understanding the action behind the behavior and getting to the root of it. Great scripts to follow. Would recommend to any parent"

DeeLou (5/5)

Written for regular parents

"The strategies and skills provided in this book are practical and rooted in sound theory, but theories and principles are explained in a way that everyone can understand. Dr Becky provides great narratives and metaphors that illustrate her ideas beautifully, also making the book entertaining."

Tish (5/5)

The best parenting book 101

"Good Inside didn’t just change my parenting — it changed me. Dr. Becky Kennedy writes with rare clarity and compassion, reminding us that both children and parents are doing their best, even in their hardest moments. Her guidance is not about perfection, but about connection — a gentle, powerful shift that turns chaos into calm and guilt into growth. Every page feels like a breath of relief, a moment of truth, and a step toward healing generational patterns. This book doesn’t just teach—it transforms."

A really practical look at all things that make people, well, tick essentially. Dr Becky is a brilliant woman and this book has a wealth of knowledge. . . I bought three of them! Highly recommended.

Great Book and Great Read

"Really Great Book with practical advice that can be applied to self and as a parent, would highly recommend this book."

Francine (5/5)

Going to have to read this one a few times!

"This is a book I feel like I could read again and again. It has so many good nuggets. I had to stop several times and chew on or re-read sections to really let them sink in. It's not about gentle parenting - it's about connected parenting, smart parenting, and it's-OK-if-you're-not-perfect parenting. It's about figuring out how to retrain your brain to parent differently than you were parented and to be OK with repairing with your kids when you need to. It's about raising kids who are emotionally resilient and regulated, kids who know they are safe and loved."

"Parenting is the most important job we’ll ever have and the one we get the least training for, so we tend to follow what our parents did—which, often, wasn’t great.
