Great Read

"Great book written by a Canadian about money and how it interacts with us."

Best Money and Life Book

"Easy and fun to read"

Excellent book!

"This was a very easy to read and relatable book. It felt as if a close friend was walking you through your financial life, with such kindness, but also tough conversations. Do the exercises at the end of each chapter, it takes time and effort, but totally worth it."

Denisse (5/5)

MUST HAVE! MUST READ! MUST SHARE!

"This book is FUN AND FULL OF KNOWLEDGE. I'm personally an avid reader with personal finance and such as. This is a great book for someone who is lost, where to start in personal finance because Melissa wrote this as if you're like a friend asking for some knowledge/tips. I honestly will be sharing this book to my friends, younger cousins, and any person who just want to learn. Also I think this is good for anyone just starting out working minimum wage in high school or university/college. This book solidified my belief in budgeting and why I do it. Because if I can't manage $100, how can I manage $1000 and so on."

A MUST READ!

"I was truly ready to make a change in my money/financial journey and Melissa's book was perfect for that. It helped me delve into the psychology of spending and then morphed into how to save better and pay down that debt. It helped me re-evaluate the difference of being burdened by a debt and looking at the freeing power of learning strategies of paying it down. So many good things about this book! The principle of ""Does this spending align with my values!"". Getting in touch with my ""Happy Ninja""! The prompts at the end of each chapter was my favourite exercise; helping me really think of where my money journey started years ago, and where it is headed now with healthier tools to tackle it. Thank you Melissa for writing such a thoughtful, well-planned book!"

Judy (5/5)

Such a good read!

"When it comes to money I think it can be a stressful topic for some. Melissa made reading about money fun! From calling her husband mofo to trying to write about finances in a 50 Shades of Grey mood (actually LOL'd out loud at that part). Each chapter left you with action items and things to think about which is sooo important. 100% recommend and already told my best friend she is reading it."

Taylor (5/5)

A must read! Incredibly and and helpful finance book

"This is my favorite finance book, I loved it! It was such an easy and enjoyable read. I am already doing a lot of the things Melissa wrote about so it was great to get confirmation plus learn even more on top of that. She is extremely funny and witty, which made it a page turner (which I've never said that about any finance book). I've been trying to get my 2 sisters more involved and informed about their own finances so I'll be sending them both a copy of this book!"

Sylvia (5/5)

One of the best books overall !

"I love this book that I am giving my friends each a copy as well as my kids. Learning from personal experiences of a resilient lady and her hopes and dreams and what she learned from those experiences is very important and a privilege that she had shared them. This book needs to be on your bookshelf so you can refer back to it anytime when you need financial wisdom. If there is a better rating than 5 stars I would give it a 10 stars!"

Maria (5/5)

Must read! Not your typical finance book.

"This book totally woke me up from my disorganized money world. She is super knowledgeable and trust me. She knows what she’s talking about. As I read this book, I cried, laughed, and agreed with her many times. Everyone needs to care about one’s finances as we work all very hard for that money. So why not invest in this book and learn more about how to take care of hard earned money? It is worth it."

Gina (5/5)

Such an eye opening read!

"I bought this book at Chapters less than a week ago and I'm already finished. I'm sad because Melissa is hilarious, but I experienced a shift in everything financial whole reading this book and cannot wait to employ it into my life. She's both funny, honest about her own experiences and empowering. I'm a changed woman!"

“While it’s true that money isn’t the first ingredient to happiness, lacking financial awareness can be a barrier to happiness — and a barrier to advancement, which has been making women unhappy for a long, long time. During this movement of change, as women continue to interrogate the status quo, continue to demand more — equality, opportunity, and respect — we have been encouraged to talk more openly about money, to develop a relationship with it, and to understand how we can make money work for us. Melissa Leong has produced a valuable resource as we engage ourselves deeper in this conversation … by giving new dimension to the conversation. Happy Go Money is informative but also accessible, smart and funny, silly and sexy, tough and also kind. It is, perhaps, the way money has always wanted to be represented. Melissa Leong has given her a makeover — and she looks SO good.” — Elaine Lui, LaineyGossip.com, and author of Listen to the Squawking Chicken
