Vulnerable and honest! Validation in a book!

"I received an early copy of the book! I couldn't put it down. This book is everything you've been thinking and feeling inside while trying to juggle career, kids, husbands and life! So many times I found myself saying ""yes this, exactly this!"" If you're a mom who wants to feel validated in your everyday thoughts, this book is for you!"

Real, raw, honest, truth

"After receiving an advanced copy of Honest Motherhood, I immediately got to reading and could not put it down. Libby’s ability to create a community of truth, honesty and the reality of what motherhood truly looks like is what drives this book. Each chapter brought on another memory of my own experiences in motherhood and I felt seen and heard. Libby validates that being a mother is hard, and that it’s okay to say it out loud. Libby will make you laugh, and she’ll make you cry, and all emotions in between. Every mother should have this book as it speaks the honest truth and validates the tough stuff."

If you’re a mom, you need this book!

"I received an advance copy of Honest Motherhood and devoured it in less than 2 days (late into the night while my kids were asleep of course). Wow. What a gift to mothers this book is. It feels like a conversation with a good friend (that will fill your eyes with tears and then make you laugh) with a healthy dose of therapy and self-help woven in. What is motherhood if not vulnerable? And Libby certainly puts all her cards on the table as she shares the story of her life from childhood to present day and the lessons she has learned along the way. She is a woman full of resilience and a unique perspective, who has re-parented herself and broken cycles of trauma to heal and to raise her own children with the safety, security and wholeheartedness that was not available to her as a child. Her analogies are fresh, her stories are emotional, and no matter how much or how little you relate to her personal journey, she writes in the accessible and authentic manner that fans of her social media musings have come to know and love. Her voice is valuable and needed. She is honest motherhood personified."

Best book on Motherhood & Feeling Seen

"In Honest Motherhood, Libby delivers a raw, refreshing, and deeply resonant look at the realities of raising children. For any mother, this book makes you feel seen in a way few others do. It dives into the messy, unspoken parts of the journey. The writing is remarkable and moving. It evokes a whirlwind of emotions, capturing the exhaustion and the joy with equal intensity. It offers a sense of solidarity and permission to embrace the imperfections of the experience. It is a funny, heart-wrenching, and ultimately validating read for any parent in the thick of it or even a few years from it."

An Honest Review!

"This is not a self-help book… There are no five-step frameworks, no morning routines to optimize, no colour-coded charts for becoming a better mother. And yet, IT WILL HELP YOU. Deeply, quietly, in the way that only truly honest writing can. Libby Ward somehow managed to write a book that feels like it was written specifically for me, and I suspect every mother who reads it will feel the exact same way. She has a gift for holding up a mirror without making you feel like you're being judged in it. Reading this felt like permission to look honestly at my own capacity, to understand where it comes from, and to stop apologizing for its edges. I listened to the audiobook and I cannot recommend that experience enough. Hearing these words read aloud by Libby feels like someone is finally taking care of the mothers. The moments that hit hardest for me were the ones rooted in reflection: looking back at our own upbringings, sitting with the mother wound, and realizing we've spent years mothering ourselves at the same time as we're mothering our children. There is something so powerful about a book that gives you the language and the space to look at what was handed to you, decide what you want to keep, and consciously choose to break the cycle. And then turning that lens forward and recognizing that what our kids will carry with them isn't the big trip or the Pinterest birthday party. It's the moments we were present. When we are whole. When we are fully there. That realization truly wrecked me (in the best way). If you are a mother who has ever felt alone in this, I highly recommend buying this book. Gift this book to every mother you love. It feels like Libby wrote it for all of us."

Incredible Book of Support for Parents

"I feel seen. This is the book I needed when going through early motherhood. I could relate so well to Libby’s parenting stories and her feelings validated how I have felt as a parent. In reading this book, I felt like I was listening to Libby speak to me through her entertaining and true stories. Parenting is perfectly imperfect and the comparisons to others (either online or in person) affects how we see ourselves when we are doing just fine. Libby has allowed us to learn that faults don’t define us, setting boundaries is ok and find those who support us for who we are. She is an inspiration in learning to take care of herself as a mother and finding her pink again (like flamingos). Parenting is HARD - this is a must read for moms (or parents) at any stage. New moms will learn not to sweat the small stuff, moms with young kids will relate with their own stories, veteran moms will be proud of their parenting accomplishments. You will learn through Libby and enjoy the stories she tells. I laughed, I teared up and I held my breath. Thank you for your voice, your support of moms and your humour. I look forward to reading this book again."

Feeling seen, heard and understood!

"This book felt like a breath of fresh air in a space that can often feel overwhelming and unrealistic. As a mom of two boys living a very full, very real life, I’m used to seeing motherhood portrayed as perfectly curated and effortlessly balanced. That has never been my reality. This book meets you right where you are, in the messy, exhausting, beautiful middle of it all. What stood out to me most was the honesty. The author doesn’t shy away from the hard parts of motherhood or try to wrap everything up in a perfect bow. Instead, she normalizes the juggling, the dropped balls, and the seasons we don’t always love. As a mother without a mother, that honesty hit even deeper for me. There were moments that made me feel seen in a way I didn’t expect, like someone understood the weight of figuring it all out on your own. This isn’t a book that tells you how to do motherhood “right. ” It’s a book that reminds you that you’re not alone in how hard it can be. If you’re looking for something relatable, validating, and genuinely refreshing, I would absolutely recommend this book."

SO GOOD!

"We all know, and love, Libby the creator, but getting to know Libby the author is somehow even better! This book makes me feel seen as a mother, and more importantly as a person. I wish I could’ve read it when I had new babies. (But I’m VERY happy I get to read it now. )"
