Praise for "Hope and Healing During the Holidays" Grief is often misunderstood. Grief is a natural and necessary process when we experience loss of any kind, whether it is someone close, your health or your job. Jayne's book is focused on the personal loss of family loved ones and the emotional responses of the family members. It also offers much hope and simple solutions through telling her own journey of grief. This book will be of much benefit to many who read her story. Geraldine Gallagher - Kinesiologist and Neuro Trainer Hope and Healing During the Holidays After the Loss of a Loved One by Jayne Flaagan is a timely MUST-READ message for those dealing with grief, be it recent or not. Holidays are especially difficult for those who have lost loved ones. Flaagan transparently relates her struggles with her own multiple losses and coping strategies used to combat the loneliness and depression. I would recommend this book, not only for those who have suffered loss, but also for others looking to help another who has. Majetta Morris, Freelance Editor/Writer There were five of us girls, and I am the baby. Three of my sisters have passed on to be with the Lord two of them as recently as last summer, both within six weeks of each other. The Holidays last year were rather difficult and, this year, as well. I can certainly relate to why Jayne felt the need to write this book, since she lost her mother n' law, her father n' law, and her little brother, all within a short period of time. She did a great job explaining the stages of grief and she even told us to ask for support if we need to, which is very important. She encourages us to talk about our loved one. Being a Pastor, I love how she pointed out that we can lighten the load of our cares by serving others, and how this gives us more benefits than the one on the receiving end. Jayne also points out that focusing on children at this time of year is very beneficial. I would highly recommend this book ! Glenda Carlson
