Originally from Halifax, now living in Toronto, Janet travels the country photographing architecture and interior design. With extensive experience, numerous advertising awards, and three Juno nominations, you can be confident that she has a well honed eye for visually communicating ideas and a keen attention to detail. Her love of design is evident in her photographic approach, she doesn''t just shoot a building, she understands what the architect/designer was trying to communicate with a space and captures that. Extremely pleasant to work with, Janet makes everyone feel at ease. For her, it''s not just about creating beautiful work, it''s also about the interactions you have along the way. My photography has helped my clients win awards such as the Canadian Green Building Awards, Nova Scotia''s Lieutenant Governor''s Awards, Maritime Architectural Design Excellence Awards, RGD Awards, and the National Trust Ecclesiastical Awards.

I''m always on the hunt for beautiful homes and locations to photograph for magazine features in publications around the globe so please reach out if you’d like to see your home, design project, or any sort of interesting location or story idea in print.

As a florist, I believe in beauty. As a psychologist, I know the importance of home. A place where we feel belonging and joy, where we know peace and inspiration, that is the essence of home. This beautiful and truly practical guide is the distillation of Cynthia's experiences of creating the most exquisite homes, and a wonderful manual for designing your own spaces with soul.
