#1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning picks up where Shadowfever leaves off with Iced, the sixth book in her blockbuster Fever series.
The year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be.
Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.
Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.
When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.
Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

“Moning returns to the heady world of her Fever series, and the results are addictive and consistently surprising. . . . The best elements of Moning’s sensual, shadowy epic are still here, from the sensual and enigmatic Fae to the super-alpha heroes and the breathless pace of their escalating conflicts. At its heart is a heroine whose development is likely to become the stuff of legends as this unforgettable, haunting series continues to evolve.”—RT Book Reviews “This is one of my favorite 2012 reads . . . It’s engaging, hilarious, amazing and Dani is going to be one heck of a woman.”—USA Today
“A gripping story that combines excellent storytelling with believable characters that are rendered both superhuman and superbly human, with emotional fragility and psychological vulnerability in an unstable world fraught with danger . . . Fast-paced, with nonstop action set in a fascinating urban fantasy world of Dublin under siege, this is a smart, bold and textured success.”─Kirkus Reviews
“Moning is a master storyteller. I don’t know how she does it, but she begs me to get on my knees and pay worship to the woman who has brought me the best, most labyrinthine stories and characters I’ve ever had the privilege to get to know. She weaves brilliantly, unapologetically, and without exception, and she has threaded the needle into me and I’ve been pulled, over and over, into her tapestry, and I don’t think I’m ever getting out. Iced is no exception.”—The Bawdy Book Blog (five-starred review)
“Moning has taken a beloved series and made it better. . . . [She] has a way of bringing the reader into the story with her imaginative writing style and characters that are colorful and entertaining. . . . Please give Iced a try, you will become a Dani fan just like I did.”—Night Owl Romance (top pick)
“An exciting opening of a new Fever saga . . . Readers will enjoy that the prime Fever cast plays major roles and the introduction of two new unique dangerous Fae who widen the mythos.”—Genre Go Round Reviews
“[Moning] has always managed to give me everything I want in a book. . . . Iced will not disappoint.”—Open Book Society
“We get edge of your seat action and danger. We get the promise of so much more to come. All in all, this is an excellent start to Dani’s trilogy.”—Scandalicious Book Reviews
“Of course, I ended up loving this book. Just like I love everything [Moning] writes.”—Fiction Vixen
"I understand that the author has a story she wants to tell, and this is a piece of the overall story. However. Nope. This book was SO HARD to get through. If you love Dani, you're golden. But if you found her chapters hard to get through in previous books, then imagine a WHOLE BOOK of just her."
— Adorabella (2/5)
Great series!
"I do love this series but felt Dani was a bit too young to be in some of those situations but I love the story line and am excited for the next book."
— Crystal (4/5)
Pleasantly Surprised
"I'd never really loved main character, Dani, in the Fever series. But after reading Iced I think I like Dani more than Mac! #plumreview"

""Iced"" by Karen Marie Moning. Book 6 in the Fever series.
"I just finished reading this book December 13, 2017. This is my review. This book starts a new arc in the Fever series. This book's main character is Dani ""Mega"" O'Malley, seen in all the previous Fever books. I really enjoyed this book! It's a great look into the mind of a 14 year old girl with superpowers. Dani has super speed, hearing and smelling. She also has a Fae killing sword. In this book, Dublin is crawling with Fae since the Wall came down, connecting Fairy to Earth, and Dani is doing her best to keep her people safe. She tries to keep the ""Dani Daily"" news-flyer going, telling the people of Dublin what to watch out for and what's out there. The only problem she has is the contract she gets pulled into by Ryodan. She must report for work every evening at eight o'clock sharp! And she has rules to obey! And if she doesn't obey, he'll kill her friend Jo. Can Dani adhere to these rules? Or will her freeing spirit do what it wants? On top of all this, she has to find out what is icing parts of Dublin. Oh, and she may have let a new and evil Fae escape Fairy. Oops! She also has to deal with three different men trying to protect her; Ryodan, Christian and Dancer. All of which are giving her weird looks at times and she doesn't know what to do about that. Oh! Worst of all, her ex-best friend Mac, wants to kill her because Dani killed Mac's sister. Just a day in the life of the Mega! I LOVED THIS BOOK! Dani's mind goes a mile a minute. To see the story from her point of view is amazing. She's only 14 years old and the way she thinks in a post-apocalyptic Dublin is a child having seen too much and been through too much and because of that, she has a grown-up quality to her thinking as well. Dancer's age is 17 years old, Christian is about 10 years older than Dani, and Ryodan's age is a mystery but he is ancient. All three guys look at Dani in a more than friends way but are waiting for her to become the woman they think she'll become. More so for Christian and Ryodan. Let me just say, nothing skeevy goes down in this book. No one is going after Dani sexually. This book really shows you how much character building Dani goes through. Her emotional journey is so well plotted out. The story flows really well. The twists and turns are great. The ending is freaking fantastic! I will say, it ends on a cliffhanger! And what a cliffhanger it is! If you haven't read the first 5 books, you could actually start with this book. But I highly recommend reading the first 5 books first so you know all the characters and what they can do. Either way, you will definitely enjoy all the books. I can't wait to read the next installment!"

Not her best, but still amazing!
"If you follow the fever series you'll NEEEEED to read this, but it's a little different. I did find it hard to love Dani and Ryoden as much as I fell for Barrens and Mac, but it was a story worth reading. Definitely give it a go."
— Amanda (4/5)
Not my fav but still decent
"This was just ok. The plot was redundant and somewhat slow placed and I found Dani to be annoying where previously I actually liked hercharacter. I did like the dynamic with Ryoden however it wasn't enough to bring my rating up"
— Krys (3/5)
Okay
"not as good as the others but still not a bad read"
— Yvette (4/5)
Not good
"I liked the fever series. I didn't like this book."
— Selena (2/5)
Loved
"I'm a die hard Fever fan. when i heard this would be a book from Dani's POV i wasn't to thrilled. however, don't avoid this one read it! ICED is told by 14 yo Dani, while she is a wild card, acting in the heat of the moment, we must admit, we all have a Dani in us some where. this one is different from the other Fever novels, written as more of a mystery than romance but still FANTASTIC as we meet more members of the Nine (Lor, Ryoden in more depth etc. ). by the end i respected and loved Dani's character more."
— Victoria (5/5)
Not bad…
"This book is about Dani not Mac. . so a change in focus which is fine. I liked getting to know Dani more and the love triangle with Ryoden and Christian sets the stage for the future but nothing really happens in the book. A little boring and a lot of repetition, some of it sounds like its turning Dani into a different version of Mac - guess that is whats happening. Entertaining but not great."
