Upon the sudden death of his parents, Teddy Clawik begins his senior year at the prestigious Taupe University of Pharmacy, where viruses and mental health medications can be designed at the push of a button. In order to cope with the demanding and competitive environment, Teddy designs and self injects a virus to make him immune to stress. With an outbreak emerging among the other universities in the Pallet System, Teddy's lab is tasked with solving the outbreak he started. Between stressed students at the Indigo University of Manufacturing that make indestructible glass to the Harlequin University of Personality that harbors its own social horrors, Teddy slowly sees how stress itself can uniquely destroy others, how it can be leveraged, and how power thrives from it.
