Paolo Crocegraduated with a degree in civil engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II in 1979. He finished his master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Colorado in 1982. He is a professor of geotechnical engineering at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Italy. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Italian Geotechnical Society (Associazione Geotecnica Italiana [AGI]), where he is a member of the AGI Committee for the Guidelines on Jet Grouting. He has 30 years of professional experience, and has authored several articles in geotechnical journals and conferences.

Alessandro Flora

graduated with a degree in civil engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II in 1989. He finished his PhD in geotechnical engineering jointly from the University of Napoli Federico II and Roma La Sapienza in 1995. He is a professor of geotechnical engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II. He is the author of approximately 100 research articles published in main international journals, conference proceedings, and books. He is a member of the Italian Geotechnical Society (Associazione Geotecnica Italiana [AGI]), where he is a member of the AGI Committee for the Guidelines on Jet Grouting.

Giuseppe Modoni

graduated with a degree in civil engineering at the University of Napoli Federico II in 1994. He finished his PhD in geotechnical engineering jointly from the University of Rome and the University of Napoli in 1999. He is a professor of geotechnical engineering at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Italy). He is the author of research articles published in main international journals, conference proceedings, and books. He is a member of the Italian Geotechnical Society (Associazione Geotecnica Italiana [AGI]). He is also a member of the AGI Committee for the Guidelines on Jet Grouting.

"¿ one of the best available on such a specific and important topic. This book should prove useful for a range of readers, from those who need to understand the scientific bases for designing an adequate solution, to those who search for better knowledge of the technology
itself."
¿Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers, January 2016

"Unlike similar titles providing general information on ground improvement, this book is entirely devoted to the role of jet grouting ¿ its methods and equipment, as well as its applications."
¿T&UC, September 2015

"The topics, which range from the description of jet grouting and its principles to the study of case histories, are well organized and presented in a reader-friendly way¿ and will surely [make the book] an invaluable tool not only for geotechnical engineers, but also for specialized contractors, who occasionally do not have a theoretical framework to carry out the design of the treatment."
¿¿Oscar Alberto Vard¿President, the Argentine Engineering National Academy, Buenos Aires, Argentina

"¿ the authors have made a brave attempt in this book to demystify the practice of jet grouting. There appears to be significant detail associated with the technology used, the processes and the mechanisms induced in the ground. The text is clear and easily understandable. The figures are sufficiently simple to demonstrate the essential processes. The design process is dealt with in two chapters and should aim to bring greater confidence to the design of jet-grouted structures."
¿¿Dr Caesar Merrifield, Senior Principal, Coffey Geotechnics, Ontario, Canada

"This book is exceptional in that it is all inclusive, comprehensive and even handed in its coverage."
¿¿Donald A. Bruce, GEOSYSTEMS, L.P., Venetia, Pennsylvania
