Bob Smith completed a 31-year career as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Security Pacific Corporation until its merger with Bank of America in 1992. Following the merger, he served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of Bank of America, and later a principal of Smith & Crowley, a California investment banking firm. Until recently, he also served as founding director of Commerce National Bank in Newport Beach. He is a 1957 graduate of the USC Price School of Public Policy and holds a 1966 law degree from Van Norman University. He has attended numerous educational programs, including the Aspen Institute, and recently the Advanced Management and Leadership Program at Oxford University. Over his past he has served on the Board of Directors of numerous corporations and charitable organizations including six NYSE companies. He has authored six books; Dead Bank Walking, Bye Bye Banks, Boardroom Confidential, Changed Face of Banking, Confessions of a Catholic Convert and most recently Successful Business Leaders. He has also authored several articles on the future of banking for national publications. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Santa Clara University and the USC Board of Trustees since 1988.Marshall is a young student at University of Notre Dame and is particularly skilled in, English, creative thinking and editing.Owen is a young student at Vanderbilt University and is particularly skilled in technology, project management, creative thinking and editing.
