Fear is experienced by everyone, and it comes in various forms. Unfortunately, so many people overlook how much of a driving force it is in the attempts to control our lives. As a result, we become so accustomed to operating based on fear that we fail to experience a life of joy.
Javaris Jones has had his own personal struggles with fear that led to control issues, overthinking, and self-sabotage. These ultimately became the biggest obstacles to him getting the most out of life, more specifically the abundant state of peace, mindfulness, and fulfillment that is available through faith in Jesus. After being enlightened by the Holy Spirit, Javaris came to realize how fear was hindering him and began a wholistic journey to recover and uncover the wonders associated with joy.
Journey to Joy shares insight to help others who relate to those struggles and more. Acting as a life-coaching tool and mentorship guide, Jones has taken complex concepts, ideas, and thoughts, making them easy to understand. He utilizes relatable experiences and personal anecdotes to illustrate his own journey, revealing how our fears and desire for control are what lead us away from the joy-filled life Christ has promised.
To live that life, we must begin the journey of overcoming whatever fear has taken hold of us and give control of our lives to God so that we can experience a life of freedom and abundance.
Javaris "Coach" Jones is head of D.R.E.A.M. Family, LLC and founder of Men Achieving Designed Excellence (M.A.D.E.). He has served for nearly two decades as an active duty senior non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force and has used his passion for leadership to develop men and women through stateside and overseas assignments. He and his wife, Frances, are certified relationship coaches and live in San Antonio with their daughter, Jada, and two sons, Ervin and Bridan.
