Joy Outside the Box is a Purple Dragon award-winning 32 page picture book about a young girl that has the desire and talent to be a ballerina in a dance company. She and her little dog dance everywhere they go together. She quickly discovers at an audition that she doesn't look like everyone else on the stage.
