Down through recorded history there have been geniuses in every field of human endeavor, such as mathematics, biology, geology, literature and music, plus many others. These are individuals who seem to have been born with an inherent understanding of things that far surpassed their peers. Some were looked to as gods, some were ridiculed, many were persecuted, suspect because they had knowledge and insights others did not possess. Music savants such as Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, and Mozart were revered and sought out for their contributions to the culture of their day. W.A. Mozart always stands out due to his early childhood accomplishments. It is recorded that he was composing and performing as early as the age of four and composing concertos at the age of ten to difficult for anyone to play but himself. Mozart, as well as others of these early musical geniuses, are said to have been able to hear complete compositions in their heads. Some of Beethoven's last compositions were done by dictation after he was both deaf and blind. He never heard or saw some of his best work. We are fortunate to be the recipients of a grand musical culture from many generations of composers and performers. It is significant to point out here that all these greats had one thing in common. When the music came to them, they had a method of writing it down and instruments to play it on. This story is of a boy/man who was obviously born with this inner gift, but had no point of reference for what he "heard" or "felt" in his head and heart. "JUBAL" is the historical fictional tale of "The father of musicians," Gen. 4:19
