August 24, 2024: "I wanted to let you know that my husband started your book. He has been a voracious reader since high school (always has three or four books going and burns through them) and was as awestruck as I have ever seen him be by an opening chapter. He was stunned by its power, poetry, profound insight...as he said, 'His first book was terrific. But in this one he's clearly writing from a very different place that is next level; that can only come from someone who is [searching for words] living in the deepest space. You HAVE to read it, like, NOW. What he does with Genesis and where he takes it from there...I'm speechless.'
"You know him well enough to know that he doesn't impress or give accolades easily. And he wasn't impressed. He was changed. And this wasn't an accolade. It was a testimony. Keep going, Rob. Whatever you and God are doing; just keep going. We're in the turning of the age. An evolutionary hinge. And our species needs you."
September 10, 2024: This is a thoughtful journey through the development of human habitation on this planet and the systems created to respond to human needs. It is a call to action to develop more sustainable systems. It provides a scenario of what is possible, that leaves the reader encouraged rather than overwhelmed. It ignited my imagination and provided the seed for further research into ways I can live a more sustainable future.
January 27, 2025: Rob Womack [has written] an exceptional book called, Jubilee. I highly recommend folks read it. In it, he focuses on the wealth and power inequities in our country, the origins, and potential solutions. We are fast to blame Republicans for our problems. We must also recognize that wealth and power drive many of our problems, and many Democrats hold that wealth and power. It is not just the billionaires who are hurting the middle class. Affluent Democrats are also perpetuating problems and not meeting the needs of the working class, many of whom now vote Republican.
January 31, 2025: An imaginative history of how we can live in a way that can help everyone flourish In this challenging book, Rob Womack tells a story about a world that might and could have been, and a world that still can be, if only we transformed our relation to money and power. I didn't always agree with it, but it consistently made me think, and it inspired me try creative ways of resistance and reimagination. Read it! It just might change your mind as well!
