Fast-paced Adventure!

"Jurassic Park is a fast-paced adventure that well balances the sciencific ideas with the adventure elements to create a compelling narrative from start to finish. Taking an interesting look at ""If we could genetically clone dinosaurs, should we?"" and looking at the ramifications of when business and money-hungry investors get entangled in the world of science and ""scientific power"". The only thing that kept this book from a 5 star rating for me is that I felt the female representation was subpar. The young girl, Lex, despite being 8, acts 4, but talks like she's older at times, and constantly asks to be carried and has to be rescued with little to redeem her. She complains, is rude to her brother, and just screams at point instead of helping. In contrast her 11 year old brother is perfectly well-behaved, never complains, and able to problem solve when the moment requires it. *** Very Mild Spoiler*** I could forgive this a bit more had the only other female lead, not been sidelined for a good chunk of the book to play nurse, only sort of redeeming this in the final quarter. Overall, I look forward to reading the next book as this was a fantastic read, but I hope that the next book has better female representation."

It explains the main idea of the book in two words

"The book has a unique concept and I love it I can’t stop reading it and I learn new words"

Nancy (5/5)

Exactly what you want.

"If youre looking for the book that started a franchise juggernaut, this is the one. It has been every bit of what I have heard and more."

Corey (5/5)

My favourite book

"An absolutely fantastic novel. It’s got all the goodness from its movie adaptation - action and dinosaurs - while being a much more interesting and impactful story. So much care and love was put towards the dinosaurs and the quality of the overall writing. Michael Crichton is a fantastic writer and I cannot recommend Jurassic Park enough."

Fizz (5/5)

Great book

"This is great book and it was at a great price. I am almost finished. Will definitely shop here again for books"

Estevan (5/5)

I couldn’t put it down

"I love the movie, so I decided to give the book a read. It did not disappoint. The book is truly better than the movie. Crichton’s dinosaurs that are described in the book are way scarier than the movie. Highly recommend!"

Clare (5/5)

Great title, it’s different and fitting

Jessie (4/5)

Better than the movies

"Just a really good book. I can't believe i had never read it before. I was on the edge of my seat, real page turner."

Nikki (5/5)

Jurassic Park

"The book was a great read. Well written and kept me engaged the entire time."

Jake (5/5)

Just as good as expected!

"If you love the movies than you'll love this book. Not only does it dial up the dino factor by quite a bit, but the vivid descriptions of terror, gore, and urgency really transport you into the novel"
