Reviews

Fitting.

"Great story about typical family struggles and postive methods for dealing with them, as well as a great ending. Lovely pictures."

Lazy writing

"Jillian Harris is a sellout- this book makes no sense and is just another thing for her to attach her name to and sell. Don’t support these grifting millionaires and this poorly written book this holiday season"

Karen4627 (1/5)

Heartwarming, relatable, and beautifully drawn!

"This is such a charming book! The illustrations are beautiful — every page is stunning. The story is cute, heartfelt, and so relatable. Highly recommend!"

Silvia (4/5)

Not for us

"The book is not very good. Depicts a mom on her phone all the time and that's not what I want my kids thinking parents do. It looks like these parents are but I'm not and I don't want my kids thinking that this is normal. It's a pass."

Hard pass

"I was going to purchase this book for my nephews 4th birthday. I’m glad I was able to flip through in person first vs ordering online. It’s obvious very little effort was put into this story. Am I correct in remembering that they didn’t even right this themselves? Just slapped their names on it? I don’t get the point. There isn’t a meaningful message at all. Tells a tale of privilege and overconsumption."

Twenty thumbs down!

"I bought this book for my class last week. The kids always vote on the new books I bring into class, and this one got a full round of ‘thumbs down’. The kids said it was boring. I was disappointed in the writing and the lack of originality. I would not recommend when there are a lot of other options out there."

Teacher J. (1/5)

Horrible spelling and grammar

"What a very poorly written book by a very pretentious and privileged family. This book describes out of touch parenting and a chaotic lifestyle. Parents who wrote this book do not even parent their own children properly. Save your money and buy a well written children’s book by people who actually care about making change in this world. Just another money maker for the Harris family."

Bookworm3426 (1/5)

Awful authors, if you can call them that

"This review is specifically for Jillian who thinks she can write a book and not receive criticism for anything she does. This whole book is just another means to sell themselves as this perfect family, but has an awful husband and very entitled children and a love for boxed wine. This book was written to excuse the mess that is their life. They don’t deserve any butt kissing this time."

Critical23 (1/5)

Kids Love It!

"Such a beautiful, relatable story and my kids loved the graphics! It is a sweet story to read at bedtime or after a long day."

Maya (5/5)

The 1 stars are fake reviews from haters

"For anyone considering this book, please be aware that the 1 stars are actually from some unpleasant ladies that hate on Jillian Harris and are not verified buyers. They would never buy her book and support her. Amazon actually stopped allowing reviews on the book unless you bought it directly from Amazon due to this issue occurring on there as well. Give this book a read and you won’t be disappointed. It’s an easy, fun read with the kids :)"

"Readers of all ages will relate to the travails of this harried but loving family; the authors infuse the tale with zippy rhymes and positive, meaningful messaging, emphasizing the importance of venting and keeping a sense of perspective. . . . A feel-good tale of a frazzled family finding a way to unwind." —Kirkus Reviews

"Each character’s mini-crisis is handled with humor, and the narrative flows briskly from one dilemma to the next. The day ends on a comforting note as the family comes together for dinner, reinforcing the idea that what matters most isn’t a perfect day but being together through the imperfect ones." —School Library Journal
